DMX, who was arrested earlier today, was allegedly in possession of cocaine when he was apprehended by Arizona authorities. The rapper was subsequently charged with a myriad of offenses related to use of Oxycontin without a prescription, failing to submit to drug testing, failing to participate in counseling programs, failure to make payments and driving on a suspended license and possession of cocaine. A formal complaint outlined the case against DMX. "Mr. Simmons has several felony convictions, and has been given multiple opportunities to succeed on probation. He has been directed to treatment, as well as chose his own treatment program and continues to use illegal drugs following their opportunities." DMX is scheduled to return to court on Nov. 24 for a probation revocation hearing.
DMX has already been to jail two times this years after serving 18 days of a 90-day sentence. The 39-year-old rapper was on parole for an assault conviction.
